The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot featuring divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences expanding in strength within the city.

Warning: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the first table of heroes who will split off from the main group to undertake their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.

That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Explorers.

What Defines the Combat Party

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

First, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing started the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into the hidden lair, attacking the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to auction.

Casimir then cleared his debts and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each member has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants retribution.
  • Kattigan has experience in Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous location.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to kill the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • However, their status as important members in the powerful family could assist the group access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • Thimble and The character are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The target is marked for death by the family.

This means them no alternative but to travel to the remote area in search of Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the cast members to assemble the Questers and Strategists parties.

Fans can expect finding out which players will be in which group in the story’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on October 24.
